Hey guys,
Last night I decided to watch the Geminid meteor shower from the picnic area of Susquehanna State Park. The shower did not disappoint. I ended the night with 193 meteors; which is a new record for me. Anyway, in the silence of it all I had a Barred Owl fly in and hoot its alarm call for about 2 minutes. Not much more exciting than a fireworks display accompanied by an owl. I also heard another owl very distantly that was making a more screechy sound, but did not recognize the calls and could not make a recording.
