I was out yesterday and visited Gunpowder Park (Hammerman area in Eastern Baltimore County)to see if any ospreys were still in the nest which sits just above the parking lot. It was a mess and no ospreys were seen. However I did spook a bald eagle (not sure how I didn't see him in the first place but he actually spooked me!) as he lept from the tree that I was standing beneath. I later saw a 2nd one in another location but it may have been the same one. Also while hiking in the park I came upon two Carolina Wrens foraging around the forest floor. I was able to observe these for 5 minutes. Other birds of mention were quite a few Dark Eyed Juncos.
