Subject: [MDBirding] Golden Eagle - AA

I just observed what I believe was a 2nd year GOLDEN EAGLE, flying South over Route 97 at the Ch 22 radio towers (Crownsville). I was driving, but the bird was being kicked around quite a bit in the heavy wind.

No white underneath, all dark bird with a slight buff under-tail. There was a very slight bar on the outer tail, but most of that tail was completely dark overall.

Of course, I was driving highway speed, so photos (or a more complete study of the bird), was not possible without causing a major traffic issue. ;) The lighting was great, as the sun was shining at the time.

Good Birding,
