Hi all,
Birded around Needwood Mansion and Lake Needwood this morning about 3 hrs. Best finds were an
American Tree Sparrow in a flock of juncos and White-throated Sparrows around the pump house by the pond.
A Fox Sparrow appeared nearby. Everyone was tweeting nicely, until a hawk flew over and all scattered.
A female Rufous-sided Towhee popped up in the brush as well.
Lake Needwood was low on waterfowl variety, Mallards (38) and Hooded Mergansers (25 +-) 2 drake Ring-necked Ducks.
Earlier this morning a flock of 30 Canada Geese flying high over my house heading SSE. Winter weather is coming.
