Thanks Russ. I arrived right around 8:30 and easily found a flock of gulls including one impressively larger HEGU. But the Black-headed Gull was not seen. We decided to walk through the shopping center and when we came back, we easily found the BHGU with 30 or so RBGU. We were offering scrambled egg as bait. They loved it (although they love eating everything). Don't know where it was earlier, but I'm very pleased with the sighting. My second code 3 bird (Tufted Duck from Tuesday was my first)! BTW, I saw another birder nearby in a Civic. Was that you?
