Hi Everybody:
Sorry for the late post and will make it quick. Yesterday I ran into Kathy Calvert at a QA County Royal Farms BEFORE daylight. We both had a similar itinerary in mind and joined up forces. We were successful in seeing 1 adult Eurasian Wigeon (in Calfpasture Cove) at Eastern Neck NWR, the Talbot County continuing female Barrow's Goldeneye on the Choptank and the female Tufted Duck at the Holiday Inn at Kent Narrows.
The main reason for this late post is to alert people that we also stopped by Great Oak Pond in Kent County around midday. The pond and surrounding grounds were inundated with Snow Geese. Due to lack of traffic we were lucky enough to just sit in the car on the road for about 20-30 minutes. We were very lucky to find two other birds in the front part of the gathering of all of the Snow Geese (approx. 3000) and Canada Geese (approx. 350). First Kathy found a CACKLING GOOSE and shortly after that I found an immature ROSS'S GOOSE.
