I naked-eyed something bobbing in the chop maybe 1/3 of the way across the "lake" I got my bins on it and could tell that it was grebe-like, but it was too far out. I put my scope (anyone who's seen me has seen that it's kind of a dinky telescope :-)) on it and still couldn't tell what it was. The barlow lens I was using to double magnification greatly reduced the visibility, kind of like looking through a very thin fog. Anyway, I uploaded a "decent" picture onto Flickr for anyone to attempt to ID. It's been cropped BIG-TIME and brightened a little and sharpened, although I'm not sure the sharpening helped.

Josh, I need better glasses or you need a better lens but I'll guess at "Horned" on this do to the profile. But, Man, That's just a guess!
