The wind finally subsided and I spent a couple of hours out this morning along the Kowomu Trail and then along the shoreline of Long Arm reservoir.

5 White-winged Crossbills in a lone confer with cones in a big field just east of the bridge over the creek near the confluence of Saw Mill Road and the Kowomu Trail. 2 Wild Turkey 1 Red-tailed Hawk 1 Barred Owl - heard but did not see 2 Red-bellied Woodpecker 4 Downy Woodpecker 7 American Crow 6 Tufted Titmouse 2 Red-breasted Nuthatch 5 White-breasted Nuthatch 2 Brown Creeper 7 Carolina Wren 4 Field Sparrow 1 Fox Sparrow 2 Song Sparrow 5 White-throated Sparrow 1 White-crowned Sparrow 5 Northern Cardinal 25 Dark-eyed Junco 1 Hermit Thrush
