Had a couple sightings of crossbills today. At about 11am near the wildlife viewing area and Wildlife loop had 5 flyover Red Crossbills that briefly perched in a Virginia pine then quickly flew out of sight not returning. Then around 2:30, on wildlife loop on the way to lake Allen adjacent the tipton airfield had at least 20 Crossbills sitting in Virginia pines for several minutes before a landing plane scared them off. Saw nothing but Reds in this group but as they flew, was hearing both.
