Just got back from the tally dinner for the Pt. Lookout CBC. Sigrid and Bill Stiles found an American White Pelican at St. George's Island in St. Mary's County. To get there, take Piney Point Road (Rt. 249) to the bridge across to St. George's Island. Continue on Piney Point Road to the turnaround just past the Chesapeake Bay Field Lab then take the trail to the northeast to the water. Sigrid said the bird was on a pound net with many Brown Pelicans. I hope it sticks around!
