I had 69 mourning doves in my backyard in Callaway this morning.
WOW this is now my high number.
Also have been averaging 25-30 species daily. Have two bald eagles that flyover.
Flickers 2, red belly woodpeckers 3, pileated woodpeckers 2, yellow bellied sapsucker 1-2, downy woodpeckers 3 and a mockingbird that fights with all the above to try keeping all the Bradford pear fruit to himself.
Robins, cedar waxwings, white and red breasted nuthatches have come in daily with these cooler temps. I sure do love my yard and am grateful for all the birds that visit.
Happy Holidays
