Today at 2:30 there were 8+ White-Winged Crossbills in the hemlock trees in the NW corner of Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville. 4 of them were feeding for a while at eye level- amazing views! Later I found 4 White-Wingeds way up in a tree, the more usual viewpoint. A Sharpie flew by, causing those 4 plus at least 4 more (from a nearby tree, previously unseen) to fly out and scatter. I assume all of the birds were White-Winged-some of them made the harsh WWCR call as they left the trees.
