Subject: [MDBirding] Snow Bunting at Oland Rd, Buckeystown.

Hi all,

Just got back from helping Barry & Gail with the Sugarloaf CBC. After counting I went up to Rt. 85 to see if there were any Lapland Longspurs and Horned Larks. While scanning the Horned Lark flock, just past the stop sign at 85 in the corner closest to 85 I saw am much lighter colored bird amongst the Horned Larks. I thought it was a very light Longspur, and when I got home looks at some pics taken thru scope. It is WINDY and they were kindof blurry, but tah, dah! Snow Bunting! Overall dingy white bird, little larger than Longspur, much white on wings and tail, had rusty tinge on top of head and behind eye with rusty tinge on flanks.
