Good afternoon all,
My New Years bird list was rather a short one, consisting of American Crow, Black Vulture, Ring-billed Gull, Canada Goose and American Robin, all seen from the second floor waiting room in the Labor and Delivery section of Howard County General Hospital, between 7-7:30 AM. My best sighting, however came shortly thereafter, in Rm. 9 of the same section, where my oldest daughter and son-in-law gave birth to their first child and our first grandchild, Elijah Asher Jimenez, future birder!
He was born at 7:36, the first New Years baby for the hospital, and the first for the hospitals 40th anniversary.
