I led my annual start the New Year list trip this morning and we visited a variety of Howard spots. We turned up 9 species of sparrows plus Towhee at The Howard Conservancy. Had Hooded Mergansers at both Centennial and Lake Elkhorn. A nice little Cackling Goose was also at Centennial. Nothing out of the ordinary and didn�t find many of the hoped for unusual birds....but there are 364 more days to go.....
