Leslie and Gail,

My husband and I tried for the crossbills yesterday but didn't have any
luck, although we arrived late and spend only an hour. Another birder had
Red crossbills near the airport, and she mentioned that other birders had
White-winged on the loop drive. Good to know about the closures. Was
thinking about making another try, but certainly won't be going today or
tomorrow! On another note, the Harlequin Duck is still at the Key Bridge,
Rufous Hummingbird in Silver Spring and Black-headed gull at Hunt valley.
Good birding to you.

Lin Just
