Seabirders and Those Who Wish to Be Seabirders-
Due to personal reasons, See Life Paulagics will not be running a winter schedule this year. The captain out of Lewes, DE has, however, agreed to run a trip on his own. I expect to be aboard along with your other favorite leaders. The main difference is that you will be signing up directly with them and not us. Here are the particulars:
Date: Sat, Jan 26 Time: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Cost: $175 (includes mate tip) Contact: Fisherman's Wharf http://fishlewes.com/ 302-645-8862
This has been an amazing alcid year already, with numerous Razorbills and Dovekies being seen from shore. If we're lucky, other species will be right on their tail feathers. Birds we find pretty regularly on these trips include Razorbill, Common Murre, Dovekie, Atlantic Puffin, Northern Fulmar, Iceland Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, and Black-legged Kittiwake. It's also not unusual to find Red Phalarope, Glaucous Gull, or Little Gull. And the Gannet show with birds diving into the chum is always a popular sight.
So if you wish to make a reservation, please contact Fisherman's Wharf. If he gets enough people to sign up and the weather cooperates, it will be another deep sea adventure.
If you have any questions about the birds or birding, feel free to contact me.
