Please join the Prince George's Audubon Society and the Patuxent Bird Club tomorrow night for a special ID workshop on gulls. The meeting starts at 7:30, and takes place at the College Park Airport Annex. Please see our website for directions http://www.pgaudubon.org and more information. A summary of the talk and a little bit of info about the speaker follow. The program is, as always, free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

>>Gulls present a confusing array of variable, immature plumages but with practice, the vast majority can be identified to species and even aged. Clive Harris, a Montgomery Bird Club member and enthusiastic guller, will take us through the identification of the large white-headed gulls. Clive spends much of the winter visiting landfills and other local spots to view gulls and has traveled to gull hotspots elsewhere in North America as well as Japan and his native Britain. He conducts workshops on gull identification for the MOS and other bird clubs. He started birding as a kid with his dad while growing up in Hong Kong in the 1970s. Over the last 20 years Clive has lived in both the U.S. and India.
