Subject: [MDBirding] Updated Excel Macro for eBird Users

Hi Maryland eBirders,
As you get ready to submit your list data to Russ Ruffing for the
annual listing report, you may find some lists are not very easy to
tabulate from your eBird data, e.g. county close-outs, month lists,
month close-outs, etc. I have created an Excel macro to tabulate these
lists for you from your eBird data. Bill Hubick has graciously hosted
the Excel workbook and readme file on his webpage for the past year
and he has now posted an updated version I sent him yesterday.

The workbook itself is here:
http://www.billhubick.com/docs/eBird_Macro_M_Ostrowski_2_0_5.xlsm

A detailed description and instructions are here:
http://www.billhubick.com/docs/eBird_Macro_M_Ostrowski_2_0_4_Readme.txt

The only changes in the updated version are bug fixes:
1. I have fixed a bug that caused some users to receive a type
mismatch error. This error affected users whose first eBird
observation (sorted taxonomically) is a non-countable taxon such as
Greylag Goose (Domestic type). If you have tried the macro in the past
and got an error, it may be worth trying again. Thanks to Tim Carney
for helping to uncover this bug.

2. I have (I hope) fixed a bug that led to some hybrids being
counted as full species. Thanks to Jim Moore for helping to uncover
this bug.

There are still some known issues. Most notably your last county
added and last county added dates may be shown incorrectly for species
for which you have entered several different forms (e.g. Herring Gull
and Herring Gull (American)).

If you think you've found any other problems, please don't
hesitate to let me know.
