This afternoon I had a little time to visit Fort Howard Park in hopes of seeing one or more of the Common Redpolls and crossbills that have been seen recently. Russ Ruffing and Jon Corcoran were there when I arrived, but they had to leave without having had any success. I also struck out on the finches, but did find an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER along the entrance road. A very poor, shaky photo is below. The bird pished up along the chain link fence on the right side of the road, opposite the wide grassy area on the left where there is a view of the creek. Also of note was a BROWN THRASHER spotted by Jon and Russ. Joel Martin Catonsville, MD
