Thirty five years ago, I was in the same decision making mode with two
acres . I purchased Norway Spruce, for many reasons, they grow somewhat
fast, very storm hardy, many cones in about five years for birds , etc. I
would highly recommend them. Also there is a column type shrubs,_ Hicks Yew
as lower breaks that offers many berries as do Junipers and Hollies....
Check Musser Nursery, Indiana Pa website, for great quality and price.
