I stopped at Piney Run Park this afternoon to look for crossbills. Still
none despite the dozens of Norway Spruces loaded with cones. I will try
Anne Arundel County tomorrow since I have yet to see any this year.
In a brief scan of the lake I saw the Mute Swan that has been there
nearly a year, 4 Canvasbacks, 23 Redheads, and 25 Common Mergansers among
others.
By the way, I have seen one report of 50 Redpolls at a feeder in Garrett
County. There are probably many more out there.
