At Hughes this morning at least three Winter Wrens, an assortment of woodpeckers, Song and White-throated sparrows and at the end of the dike a nice surprise near the pine stand- a Gray Catbird, mewing. Later in the polo fields, two Horned Larks (likely more, well hidden.).On Sugarland Rd a handsome group of 8 White-crowned Sparrows rounded out the morning.
