Took a walk along the C&O Canal (mile 20+) late this afternoon while
temps were still reasonable. Birds of interest included Swamp Sparrow,
immature Bald Eagle, Winter Wren, and a single male Northern Pintail
among the American Wigeons, Northern Shovelers, and Mallards in the
impoundment.
