I couldn't get out of work (by the Navy Yard in DC) until after 4pm, so I
didn't get to Claire's yard until c.4:50pm. There were two other birders
present who had been there for 30 or so minutes before I arrived, and they
had not yet seen the bird. They stuck around a little longer and I stayed
until about 5:20pm but none of us saw the bird.
Thanks to Claire for re-finding the bird and getting the word out today. I
hope to try again on Thursday.
