Subject: [MDBirding] Odd feeder birds.

This morning I had an odd siskin mixed in with my 60-100 Pine Siskins. I've been scanning them for Common Redpolls, assuming that if redpolls are in Harford Co that they would want to join a large finch flock. Anyway this Pine Siskin was very light in color; I'm sure not outside of normal variation though. I decided to call him my "Yellow Siskin". Besides an oddly colored siskin, I had a female Hairy Woodpecker (which I never get at my suet!) and a pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers (I see them in the yard but never at the suet). The sapsuckers don't come at the same time, but they're obviously a male and female. I wonder if they're coming around because their sap wells have frozen up?
