No Greater White-fronted Geese proper, but Heidi Trasatti found a weird hybrid that I got to see. The bird had a pink bill and white front, identical to GWFG, but then had some more unusual characteristics: whitish face speckled with black, and a blackish neck (like a Canada) speckled with white. The actual body of the bird was identical to a Canada.
I'd like to count it as a GWFG x Canada hybrid on my eBird checklist, but are there any other possibilities? Maybe Graylag x Canada?
Thanks for your help,
