Dean,
This is pretty easy to do.
In ebird, click on the Explore Data Menu. Click on Range and Point Maps In the Date menu (center top) choose current year and then Set Date Range. Then type in the species name you are interested in where it says Species in upper left. You will then get a set of points with current year sightings. If you then zoom in on any spot, you will eventually get to a flag indicating the exact location. You can click on this to get the checklists for that spot.
