Hi Dean,

eBird is the best way to do this. Just go to eBird, and click on explore data. On the top left side click on Range and Point maps. Type in American Dipper and wait until a drop-down menu appears. click on American Dipper and wait for the map to load. Once you get a large map of north america in shades of purple, click on the Date field. Choose current year and all the purple areas will be oservations of American Dipper during Jan 2013. Zoom in until you see orange markers of the exact locations. Then click on the markers for the date and click on the link to checklist to get more information about the observation.

Works wonders!

Subject: [MDBirding] Bird Search

To all:
Does anyone know where to go to look for specific bird findings? I looked around in E-Bird but wasn't successful. I.E. if I want to see where an American Dipper was most recently seen, is there a way to search?

Thanks!
Dean
