Second sighting - from 4:20 p.m to 4:40 pm the NORTHERN LAPWING returned to the same intersection, this time to a welcoming committee of about nine birders. These included Dave Palmer who obtained great photos, Elaine Hendricks, Danny Poet, Steve Ford with his family of four along with myself, and Mark Schilling. Others came later or left earlier without seeing the bird.
When last seen, around 4:40, the bird was circling above the field on the northwest corner of the intersection, and then it flew away low over to fields of the same habitat, but to the northwest beyond some houses.

Talbot Birders -
First Sighting:
This afternoon from 1:45 to 2:00 I was viewing and enjoying a NORTHERN LAPWING in Talbot County at the intersection of Old Cordova Road and Three-bridge Branch Road. It was close to Old Cordova Road feeding with nine killdeer in a 6-acre wheat field on the southeast corner of the intersection with those two roads. It was still there when I left, and did not seem to have been bothered by about six cars that passed the site while I was watching.
