Good Point, David. Context matters. �But generally, eBird is not the place to "report" �sightings. If one wants to spread the word about a mega-rarity, however, there are better avenues to do it, since eBird only reaches alert subscribers, and sometimes those are only via daily digests.

With BirdLog, Cornell's eBird data entry app, it's actually super easy to enter birds from the field. On the other hand, it's really easy for me just to send an email to MDBirding with my mobile device (iPhone). �Facebook is not much harder, really, than either. � I'd say they are all pretty comparable to each other.
