Subject: [MDBirding] Duluth Minnesota Boreal Owl Irruption

It looks like there is some type of record irruption of Boreal Owls into the Lake Superior Shoreline and Duluth, MN area. Some people have reported seeing as many as seven Boreal Owls during the day, actively hunting.

I am guessing that many owls showing up is likely due to lack of food in their normal winter range.
