A flock of 9 RED CROSBILL (6 males, 3 females) at the North Tract of Patuxent this morning on the road near the airport, halfway between the office and Lake Allen. First seen in a flyover around 8:50, then relocated feeding in a pine around 9:45. Crummy documentation photos. Other noteworthy birds were 8 Red-breasted Nuthatch (conservative count, easily more), 2 Sharp-shinned Hawks and 1 Brown Creeper.
Good Birding!
