Subject: [MDBirding] Kenilworth Park DC - American Tree Sparrows, Meadowlark

I walked the fields at Kenilworth Park for a couple of hours this morning and came up with a few good birds despite the windy and cool conditions. The highlight was 2 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS that perched up in the same binocular view along the shrubby edge north of the athletic fields. In this same area I also saw 6 SAVANNAH SPARROWS and over toward the eastern part of the grassland, I flushed a single EASTERN MEADOWLARK. Along the entry road, there was an interesting mixed flock of juncos, white-throated sparrows, eastern bluebirds, and goldfinches. I followed the flock around, scanning for redpolls among the ~20 goldfinches, but was unable to turn any up.
