Subject: [MDBirding] White-winged Crossbills, Preston, MD

Hi everyone,

I stopped to check out some hemlocks along Rte 331 (main street) in Preston
and found a flock of at least 10 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLs foraging in the
trees and on the ground near houses 128-132 on Rte 331(lots of hemlocks
along the road), the birds were viewed from the sidewalk across the street
from the yard. I parked on a side street and walked on the sidewalk. **
Please note, these are in someones yard so its best to not to leave the
sidewalk when looking and I am sure I don't need to say it, but please
avoid looking at the houses. :)

Good birding!

Mikey
