Subject: [MDBirding] Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens Feb. 10 2013: Gray Catbird

Late this morning Lisa Shannon and I decided to go to Kenilworth Aquatic
Gardens in northwest DC. The best bird we found was a Gray Catbird. We
both saw it briefly about 50-60 feet from us (near the start of the trail
leading to the boardwalks), noting the dark gray body with the darker cap,
dark eye, orange crissum, and long tail. It was close to a group of four
lovely Fox Sparrows. Another nice species we saw was a pair of Common
Mergansers seen from the far boardwalk at the river side of the "lagoon",
which Lisa spotted.
