Many thanks to Dennis for the gracious hospitality. What an awesome piece of property. Though I missed the bird (couldn't get up there until 4:35) the overall experience and the Screech-Owl roosting in the Wood Duck box made up for it. He wanted us to make sure others know about the owl as well, so don't miss it.
I think it's just as important to mention when rarities AREN'T seen as when they are. From what I gathered, the oriole was last seen around 4:00pm, so if you have a typical work schedule and can't get up until rush hour, I would hold off or "be sick" tomorrow, assuming it's still there.
Any chance we could get a shared location for eBird?
