Subject: [MDBirding] Eurasian Wigeon--Loch Raven Reservoir--16 Feb 2013

Hi Everyone,

After a successful chase of the Bullock's Oriole (good to see you, Warren
and Lisa; and thank you, Dennis!!), I stopped at Loch Raven Reservoir to
look for the adult male Eurasian Wigeon. It took a while to pick it out
among the hordes of American Coots and many ducks. In fact, I counted all
205 American Wigeon and completed additional scans and counts before I
finally saw and digiscoped it. Thanks, Matt!

The location is the same as reported recently--the cove of Loch Raven
Reservoir that is across the street from Peerce's Plantation. I also heard
2 Barred Owls while I was here.

Have fun,
