Subject: [MDBirding] eBird rarities for Maryland

HI all,

I hope everyone is now signed up for hourly eBird reports of rarities for Maryland, since quite a few birds are being seen that are not making it onto the MD Birding google group (or the Facebook page).

The last hour's alert included such goodies as a Trumpeter Swan at Cash Lake (Pax NWR) as well as multiple updates on the Bullock's Oriole, Pacific Loon, several different WW Crossbills, Red Crossbill, etc. etc.

I still encourage folks to post to MD Birding as it is really the optimum place for announcing rarities (and updates of same) because of timeliness, but these eBird reports are also invaluable. (And hope everyone is posting there as well). And visit the FB page as well for a slightly different slant on Maryland birds and birding!
