Subject: Re: [MDBirding] eBird rarities for Maryland

Wanted to clarify that the only sighting that is from TODAY (Sunday)
that Gail mentioned is of the Trumpeter Swan. I had assumed otherwise
when I first read her post. In any event, I second Gail's request that
members of this list still post notable sightings on this list
first--though I'm not complaining about any sighting or report now
appearing on the alerts. Setting eBird alerts to hourly (rather than
daily) can be a pain they can clog your inbox especially when there
are multiple reports of the same bird being submitted throughout the
day. And there's certainly no need to subscribe to them unless you want
to twitch (i.e. chase) rare birds, which I find myself doing less and
less/./

Good birding!
