I checked Mikey's crossbill location in Preston late this morning, walking
the sidewalk along 331 a few times. I had at least 8 White-winged
Crossbills fly in from the southwest side of the road (from the triangle
formed by Fooks Ave and Sunset Blvd). They flew over 331, perched briefly
in a tree on the northeast side of the road, and then disappeared behind
the houses on that side of the road. This was a couple of houses towards
Easton from where Mikey originally found them last weekend.
