Returning from the Carroll Co. Bird Club weekend trip to the shore with
Dave and Maureen Harvey we found an adult Ross's Goose in Easton. It was in
a pond and on a field with a large flock of Canada Geese. The pond is
behind the "Parkview at Easton" which is next to the high school and the
field extends behind the high school which is on Mecklenburg Avenue off
Dutchmans Lane off US50 on the south side of Easton.
Later we stopped at Kent Narrows to look for the female Tufted Duck that
has been present for some time. Apparently we flushed it from under the
dock at Red Eye's Bar. It was with Greater Scaup.
Dave got photos of both birds.
