Subject: [MDBirding] Patuxent Trumpeter YES, Oxbow Common Teal NO

The Trumpeter Swan at Patuxent South Tract/Nat'l Visitor Center was present
at 2:30 and I got to see it a close range, but it swam off to far side to
feed. Lots of Ring-necks also present, but only other waterfowl I observed
were Canada Geese.

I then swung by the Oxbow at Russet, but only saw two teal, but didn't get a
good profile on the male before they flew. In any case, did not observe a
horizontal OR vertical white stripe. A Winter Wren chipping at me was a
nice consolation prize.
