Through the years I have noticed, each winter, a long-eared owl or two dead by the side of I-270in Montgomery county during my morning commute. They appear in a several mile stretch around the Germantown area. I suppose there may be more long-eareds in the area this year as I've counted about five and there is another month to go when I would expect they are hanging around. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this.
