Neil, thanks so much for your research and diplomacy with regard to this bird.
Joe and I searched the pond and the McDonough fields yesterday afternoon for quite awhile, with no luck. This morning, we saw the Ross's Goose on the pond when we arrived at 7:12 am, and watched it fly off with a large flock of Canada Geese at 7:22. Early morning seems to be the best time to find it on the pond, which may be less a intrusive location than the school grounds.
