This morning before work, I birded at Little Falls on the Potomac near the Montgomery County-DC border. The highlight was a White-winged Scoter feeding above the falls. For most of the time I was there, it was staying close to a drake Red-breasted Merganser, even after a Bald Eagle flushed the waterfowl ~0.25 mi upriver.
There was also a good number of Horned Grebes present (11). Complete list is here: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S13154756
