Weather: Partly cloudy; 44-49 degrees; good visibility; winds strong out of the NW or WNW, 6-22 mph, gusting to 30 mph
Raptor Observations: An additional Bald Eagle, a non-migrant 4th year. One of the migrant Bald Eagles appeared to be a juvenile, perhaps Florida born. Also a hunting Cooper's Hawk.
Non-raptor Observations: 1 Ring-necked Duck, 2 Green-winged Teals, 2 Gadwalls, and 2 Hooded Mergansers on pond; Common Redpoll, perhaps a first winter individual; at least two White-winged Crossbills

Site Description Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
