I was fortunate enough to get to see the Red Crossbills and a White-winged Crossbill at the North Tract of the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge yesterday at about 3:20 pm.� It was so exciting!� Thank you to Tim Houghton who gave great directions and let me know that I could see them practically from my car since I have a stress fracture in my right� foot and can not walk any distance at all.. ( I can't drive either.) I thought I was going to miss this irruption.
I'd love to see the Trumpeter Swan but you have to walk quite a ways, correct?
