Raptor Observations: Non migrant Black Vultures, an immature Bald Eagle scooping a fish from the river, a Cooper's Hawk and a Red-tailed Hawk
Non-raptor Observations: Blue-winged Teal on pond; 3 Killdeers heading north(also 6 yesterday), about 30 Herring Gulls heading north early

Site Description Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
