Subject: [MDBirding] call for photos for the annual report

All,

I am asking for photos to use in the upcoming Annual Birding Report for 2012. I will give credit to all photographers whose pictures I use. I am obviously most interested in the rarities that showed up in MD/DC in 2012, particulary the three new state records (Virginia's Warbler, Pink-footed Goose, and Herald Petrel) but also any other high quality images of rarities. Sabine's Gull, Barnacle Goose, rare Hummers, also Redpolls and Crossbills, just to name a few. I know there are a lot of others out there and I can't name them all here. Since we had such a great year for Connecticut Warbler, that would be a good one as well. I will consider non-rarities too as long as they are of exceptional quality and/or interesting in terms of pose, action, etc.

If you are interested in submitting your photos for use, please send them to me by this weekend. Of course, I reserve the right to choose which photos I use for the report. Likely I won't be able to use all that are submitted just due to space restrictions, so please no hard feelings if I end up not using your particular photo(s). JPEG would be fine.

Thanks!
